What’s the Best Way to Start Your Day?

Have you heard people say breakfast is the most important meal of the day and it’s how you get your day started?  FYI…I would argue breakfast is not the most important meal.  All meals are equally important…but I digress. 

I would say that your morning routine is the most important way to start your day!

Our days can really be impacted based on what we do within the first hour of waking.  Guess what happens if we consistently (key word!) start our day with a solid self-care routine?  Well, we are more likely to carry that feeling of peace, calmness, and energy that the self-care routine brings all throughout our day.  Having a consistent self-care morning routine can help us make more positive choices throughout the day as well! 

Are you still questioning whether or not you want to invest in a self-care morning routine?  Check out just a few of the many benefits:

1.       Increased focus (oh foggy brain…you will be missed)

2.       Reduced stress (so we don’t have to live life being a stress ball???  Sign me up!)

3.       Increased energy levels!  (Maybe you can lose that 4th cup of coffee 😉)

Your morning routine is exactly that.  YOUR morning routine.  It doesn’t matter if your friend gets up and works out for an hour, or you see people on social media that are doing 5 forms of self-care in the morning.  What matters is that you find something, one thing, that grounds you, and you commit to doing it at least 2-3 mornings this week.  Test it out and see how it makes you feel.  Self-care routines do not need to take hours (or even close to an hour).  Waking up 15 minutes earlier and performing some kind of self-care practice will positively change your life!
